Long-distance move from Seventeen Mile Rocks, QLD to Bunbury, WA

AVOID AT ALL COST

Firstly they damaged walls and tiles at our house whilst removing our belongings - all of which required professional repairers. Secondly I caught one of the men smoking in our container whilst loading our furniture. Totally outraged the owner offered to spray our belongings, once they arrived in Tasmania, with a chemical that was used by the Fire Services to use in a house that had smoke damage, which they did. However they did not use any desiccants to absorb any moisture so whilst our belongings sat in their storage facilities our belongings grew mould - expensive antiques, clothes, leather items and much much more. Upon receiving our belongings, some of which they forgot to deliver, not only was there so much mould but an incredible amount of damage from their incompetent attempts at wrapping our items. We have lost so many of our beloved items due to their unprofessional work standards. Yes we had insurance, but we are still battling to get our claim finalised due to Bells purposely withholding their payment of excess liability to the insurance company, who wont pay us until Bells pays them this excess. This process is still ongoing after TWO YEARS and no closer to having this finalised. We are still living with the mouldy items due to the claim still be outstanding. Chris Bell, when this started, would not even have the decency to take any of my calls and nor has he ever apologised for the totally disrespectful and unprofessional behaviour from himself and his crew . I could not stress more fiercely that do NOT engage in the services of Bells - you run the very real risk of receiving the most expensive mistake of your life.

Long-distance move from New South Wales to Tasmania

Recommended.

We had a move from Central Coast NSW to Burnie Tasmania. The booking was very easy with filling in an online quote and receiving a prompt email saying they were reviewing our itemised list and would get in touch with us soon, which they did. Phone calls to office (Nikki) were easy. The loading of our furniture and unloading was handled from start to finish by Leon and Nelson. The boys did a great job and were extremely careful carrying heavy items up to the first floor. Cannot thank enough. The price was also very reasonable for such a big move.

Very unprofessional.

We used Bells Removal from Taree to Tasmania. We did not receive our furniture until four weeks after we supposed to get it. When the furniture finally arrived, the boxes had holes in them and squashed, a lot of the glassware was broken, the glass shelving broken and the furniture scratched. They did not return our calls. Here we are in Tasmania four weeks without washing machine, fridge, bed or anything. They did not care about our situation. If you are looking to move save yourself a lot of grieve and stress do not use Bells Removal. They are the most unprofessional company we have ever dealt with.

Customer feedback.

Leanne from the office was very helpful and on the day of pick up the guys were running behind schedule however on arrival they were very considerate whilst preparing goods and listened to the request. In addition they took the extra time to assist with some man power to put some doors back into place. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Long-distance move from Canberra, ACT to Hobart, TAS

Worst moving experience

Currently moving with Bells, chose them based on the great reviews. It's been 3 weeks since our belongings were uplifted from Canberra to Hobart. Contacted Bell's last week who weren't sure "whether they had sailed yet". Have followed up every day since but unfortunately no answer as to where our belongings are or when we'll be able to access them. Now they appear to be ignoring our emails. Disappointing service that has made a stressful time more stressful.

Above and Beyond!

Chris Bell organized our move from Tasmania to Queensland and we were blown away with his excellent customer service and going above and beyond for us. I was heavily pregnant at the time of our move and with Covid-19 and March 2021 floods there were understandable delays with the delivery. Chris Bell and his team were kind and clear in their communication and helped us best navigate these delays in time for the birth of our son. They made a very stressful time easier and we are thankful for exceeding expectations and 'making it happen'! Highly recommend.

Moving house with Bells.

Chris Bell came to give us a quote.. friendly, efficient and fair. He changed the quote easily via email, when we reduced the Pick-up quantity. One of the men reduced the price even further on the day when he realised our furniture took up less space than quoted for (as the reduced amount hadn't been sighted). As we had everything dismantled and ready to go the Pick-up was done very quickly (three hours from arrival to driving away), even though it was a house full of very heavy antique and old solid wooden furniture..including an extremely heavy piano. (A third man was called in to assist with the piano pick-up although unfortunately he was unavailable at the delivery end).
I really appreciate that when I rang Leanne on the first working day after the move to suggest that a three-inch clean chip broken from the top of the piano may still be in the blanket used to cover it. Not only did she take it seriously ..someone went to a lot of trouble to track down the truck and the blankets used and then look through them. The chip was found and delivered to our new home the following day..taped to a damage incident report. I was greatly relieved that I'll now be able to have my late father's piano looking as good as it was before. Thank you for going to the trouble. And thank you Bells for moving us very efficiently.

No care, no follow-up.

This company clearly doesn’t train its staff nor truly understand customer service. We have damaged items (antiques), scrapes to house walls and one item of furniture that just got “left” interstate. No follow-up from the organisation to check on satisfaction of the service we purchased. My advice: pay a little more and go elsewhere!
